Rhapsody is piano with a relaxed summer camp feel! Each year, students work together in small groups on and off the piano bench to learn about a particular musical style or concept. This year's camp is all about rhythm! Activities will include improvisation, large ensembles, theory games and crafts. Camp will conclude with a celebration on Friday showcasing what we have learned.

Every child wants to explore and create at the piano. This camp will give students the tools and techniques needed to turn their "doodling" into a finished piece of music. In the process, students will learn practical applications of theory, gain more respect for detail in written music, and feel pride in performing their own work. In addition to four group sessions, follow-up lessons will be scheduled to polish and add more detail to the student's work. At the end, the student will have a computer generated score complete with artwork on the cover as a keepsake.
For students entering 3rd grade & up as of August 2017; minimum of 1 year piano study required Camp Dates: June 5-8, 6:00-7:30pm | Follow-up sessions: Tuesdays (June 13, 20, 27) at 6:00-7:00pm
